26 weeks pregnant. Day 1 of chemotherapy. Here we go....
A little early but happy and healthy
Putting the pieces together
Growing
On March 17th, Liz was admitted to the hospital because of her symptoms and pain. After 3 days in the hospital she was released home for end of life care so she can be around her family. The exact timeline is unknown, but, we have been told it won't be very long and that we should prepare for the next steps in this journey. As this is not the outcome we would have wanted, Hospice has been able to manage her pain and make her comfortable until she passes. We appreciate everyone's outpouring of support via text, call, messages, gifts, flowers, well wishes and offers to come over for support of myself(Ryan) and the boys. At this time visitors would be too much for her, myself and the boys, but, please know she appreciated everyone and everything people have done for us no matter the size and she truly valued each of her relationships with everyone.
In late 2019 I was going in for a routine scan after my hospital from the other drug treatments and they found lesions in my lungs which everyone hoped was a side affect from the hospital drugs.
I was then sent for a biopsy of one of the nodules and in November 2019 my Oncologist called me to tell me I had cancer in my lungs. After additional scans, they found cancer in my Lungs, brain lining, spine and kidney.
Participated in a clinical study for Keytruda that would potentially help with re-occurrence.
Ended up in the hospital for a week after 3 months of the trial drug and that ended that portion of immunotherapy.
Under went a double mastectomy to remove any potential infected cells.
I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer when I was 6 months pregnant with my second child Beckett.
I underwent 3 months of Chemo while pregnant and then gave birth to a happy and healthy baby boy!
Switched to another Chemo drug after giving birth for another few months.
